Chesapeake, VA – Dollar Tree is seeking a highly motivated Senior Process Engineer to join their Logistics Engineering Team. This remote position offers a competitive salary, estimated between $103.5k and $115k annually, and the opportunity to drive process improvements across the company’s distribution network. The ideal candidate will be a results-oriented individual with a background in industrial and systems engineering, manufacturing, production, or distribution.
This role is perfect for someone passionate about optimizing processes and delivering tangible results. The Senior Process Engineer will be responsible for designing, managing, and executing distribution center process improvements, as well as supporting labor management efforts. A strong understanding of distribution operations, labor, and performance management is highly desired.
What you’ll do:
- Standardize and document operating procedures across Dollar Tree and Family Dollar Logistics.
- Implement new process innovations in multiple distribution facilities.
- Develop, implement, and maintain labor standards and labor management systems.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase customer value and reduce costs.
- Analyze data to identify root causes of performance issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Safety, and IT.
- Drive the operational execution of software enhancements.
What you’ll need:
- BS degree in Engineering or equivalent industrial and operations background.
- 3+ years of experience in a process and building layout design role, preferably in a fast-paced industrial, logistics, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of work method standardization, time study, and labor standard tools.
- Strong process engineering and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced data analysis skills (Minitab, Excel, MS Access).
- Ability to travel up to 75%.

- Experience with labor management system implementation.
